I've lived in the central part of California all my life. The surrounding land has always been of great interest to me, including agriculture, rivers and lakes, foothills and my favorite, the Sierra Nevada mountain range. I love camping and hiking with my family and backpacking into the high country with my buddies. A very good friend of mine, Michael Hansen (michaelhansen.com), has taught me most of what I know about photography and is also my outdoor/backpacking buddy. When I go out to "play", it's usually in our local foothills and mountains including Giant Sequoia National Monument, Golden Trout Wilderness, Mineral King, Sequoia National Park. I have also ventured out to California's central coast and coastal mountains including Big Sur and Ventana Wilderness and the Eastern Sierra from Bodie down to Lone Pine and Cottonwood Lakes.
